THE KARRALLA RETREAT IS OUR HOME. 

We are an 8 minutes drive from Daylesford, 90 minutes from Melbourne CBD and 60 minutes to the airport. The Retreat provides breakfast, beverages & snacks. Bring food to share. Kangaroos, wallabies, native birds, goats, chickens and our dog Cozmo provide outdoor entertainment.

ABOUT KARRALLA.
Our beautiful handmade mudbrick and stone double storey home built in the 80's really reminds us of the sustainable movement and its origins. Karralla is one of the earlier homes built in the wombat forest. Designed by an engineer and his wife, a botanist, a small book was published in its name by the state of Victoria. Derek and I have become Karralla's third generation custodians.

Set on five magical acres, we are blessed with two forests, a meadow, vegetable garden, billabong, sacred site, labyrinth and much more. There are twelve sacred spaces in all. Decor is comfortable and welcoming, with a large lounge upstairs for teaching and sharing, private and shared rooms, with beautiful beds and many books are to be found on shelves everywhere. Kitchen is open plan with a banquet table for ten.

We also have a sauna, and areas to relax and sit watching the kangaroos, wallabies, kookaburras and prolific birdlife. It is peaceful and quiet here.

Walks to the state forest are a block away. Karralla is unlike generic accommodation. It is cozy and feels like home.
